Protea Hill Farm - "Cape Balsamic Gourmet Vinegars" is situated in the heart of the Winelands of Stellenbosch, South Africa. The farm produces natural balsamic Fruit-, Herb-, Seed- and Flower Blossom Vinegars.
If you are interested in award winning balsamic vinegar flavours which have been produced with 100% ripe and unsprayed fruit, unwaxed citrus, natural grown herbs and wild flowering blossoms, you might like to tickle your taste buds with the following unique balsamic vinegar flavours, which some of them are unique in the world. No chemical additives, flavour enhancers, colourants, molasses or caramelized sugars have been used in the production of these balsamic vinegars. The Vinegars have that typical balsamic sweet and sour taste, 6% acidity and are aged in vats for years.
With a growing interest from foreign countries a new company "Cape Balsamic Gourmet Vinegars" was established in 2007 and farming was extended from Stellenbosch as well to Lutzville on the West Coast of South Africa for further new varieties of balsamic vinegars like Tomato, Green Pepper, Orange, Lemon and more raspberry plantations.
The existing stocks of aged balsamic vinegars are sufficient to supply the local and international markets. For export only 250ml square glass bottles are used with screwing tops, build in pourers and shrink paper for firm closures. For the restaurant- and hotel trade the vinegars are supplied in 750ml wine bottles with cork and shrink paper.
